Waaay back in Episode 70, we decided to shake up our format a little by introducing The Partial Pick. The PP is our way of summing up our episode and will allow us to track Rome’s progress as it moves from smallish city to grand empire.

There are five categories that we use to evaluate Rome’s position, each with a potential 10 golden Roman eagles up for grabs.

Military Clout – How well have the Romans acquitted themselves in battle?

Diplomacy – How much negotiation is being employed by the Romans in order to reach their goals?
•
Expansion – How much territory has Rome accrued?
•
Virtus – How much good old-fashioned Roman virtus (or virtue) can we see on display?
•
Citizen Score – How would be the average Roman be faring in this period?

So every episode, Rome is awarded a total out of 50 golden eagles.
