International Podcast Day – Livestream Event!

Why hello there, beautiful people, it’s nearly time to celebrate International Podcast Day with our amazing collaborators from Mnemosyne: The Memory Collective.

Livestream event podcasts involved: Let's Talk about Myths, Baby!; Movies We Dig; Ancient History Fangirl; Digital Hammurabi; The Ozymandias Project; and The Partial Historians.

Over a good few hours on Saturday the 27th of September and Sunday the 28th of September (depending on your time zone!), there will a gathering of podcast hosts engaging in a range of events from quizzes, text readings, listener Q&As. If you have a burning question that simply MUST be answered in a public forum, now is your chance!

For those of you based in Australia, proceedings start around 2am AEST, but since we’re never going to be up THAT early, you can safely expect to see Dr G from around 10am AEST. Unfortunately Dr Rad will be busy sight-seeing in Europe so no promises that she’ll be able to tear herself away from the thrills all the ancient ruins strewn before her eyes. Truly we will be partial in the most literal sense for this event!

The event will be livestreamed from the Movies We Dig YouTube channel

There’s also a raffle with prizes to be won, which we definitely recommend you check out, as there are quite a few amazing books up for grabs:

Raffle Fundraiser Image with books to be won including: Rex - The Seven Kings of Rome; Your Cheeky Guide to the Roman Empire; Greek Mythology Handbook; Enemy of My Dreams; Nectar of the Gods; Women of Myth; Women of Myth Oracle Deck; A Thousand Ships; Medusa; The History of Rome; The Official Lore Olympus Cookbook; How to Think about War.

If you’re able to pop in for the event, we’d be honoured to see you there. When the livestream link is ready to go, we’ll share it so you can join all the fun.

  1. Oh no, I’d promised myself I’d jump at the chance to get my hands on a printed copy of Rex, and now I realized too late it was in the raffle!

Because it was published with an indie press in Australia, it can be hard to track down, but if you’d like a copy, we do have physical ones and we’d be happy to sell you one and send it to you!

      1. That would be great! Could you let me know how to deal with the practicalities?
